Car just back from the garage.
Had to put my MR2 into the garage a couple of days ago as it was poorly. Sounded like it was only firing on three cylinders - which was confirmed.
Turned out to be a dodgy wire which was the lesser of three evils (could have been a knackered injector or a knackered ECU - both of which would have been considerably more expensive to fix). She's running perfectly now. Will take her out for a proper spin tomorrow - hopefully the weather will be better. Got them to do a couple of little jobs I'd been putting off for a while at the same time. All in all, it cost me £368, which seems a lot but could have been a lot more. I also asked for a quote to fix the damaged sill. Turns out they do resprays too and he said he could do it for about £100 for the sill and £500 for the respray. Sounds good to me so it looks like the old girl will be getting a new coat when I get back from the rig next time.
