Planet of the Apes

The original version, not the diseased rectum of a remake.

It's not as good as I remember, but it's certainly not dreadful.
It is comical in places though - I think it's mainly Heston's performance and his later alliance with the NRA that make me laugh most.

Got to say, that some of the early shots through the desert are absolutely stunning
