Buying a new telly
I'm planning on buying a new telly for the new flat. I've pretty much settled on this one. It's the LG 50PK350 50" Full HD Plasma TV. £599 from Currys but, if I order before 29th October, I get £35 off and 3% cashback from Quidco - making the actual price only £546 with free delivery.
It seems to be just what I need. It has received a lot of good reviews (including on AVForums). The only negatives I have seen are that the screen can be a bit reflective and suffers a bit from image retention - neither of which will bother me. Also, there is no internet connectivity and only 2 HDMI slots (one of which is on the side) and it only has standard freeview, not HD. None of these things will be missed. I won't be plugging that many devices into it and I don't need youtube on my telly. I'll be getting an HD V+ box so won't need freeview HD. All in all, I think it's a bargain - £546 for a 50" telly. The purpose of the thread is to check that no-one else has any better deals they have spotted before I pull the trigger. If you have, I have until Friday.
