I agree with you that too many people and events get overlooked by the mainstream news. Particularly in a world of 24hr rolling news, some stations could really do with not repeating the same few stories over and over again. All that time to devote to so many other stories and they never do.

It's far cheaper to repeat content than keep producing original content :-/
