Help us choose a new logo! [designedbypheebsandsam]
Hello!
Long- time lurker, new-ish poster here! Before I go any further, I want to point out that Pheebs said it was OK to post this here, so mods please direct any bans/ punishment her way So to give you a bit of background: I've known BD's very own Pheebs for a few years now. I am also the proprietor of a recently-launched personalised greeting card website that I developed from the ground up myself - including the current horrible logo and masthead/ colour-scheme (http://www.saltnpaper.co.uk - and yes we sell A Kettle Of Fish cards!! - and we are donating 25p from every AKOF sale towards Clare & Sam's charity ride![/plug]). Anyway... All the graphics/ logo are rather ugly looking, as I did them myself on a budget. The time has come for a much- needed refresh - I will be changing the colour scheme, graphics, logo, everything, so I thought I should grab a bit a Clare and Sam's time before they embark on their round the world trip, and what can I say? except they have done a really great job so far! What I really want is just some feedback on which logo or style of logo people feel is best for the site and products, or how they could be improved. On the below images, please ignore the un- numbered ones on the left, as they are the original concepts (and what you are judging are some developed designs). Just to give you a bit more background about who we are what we do, and who we are appealing to: We sell personalised greeting cards, both to individuals, and for B2B (e.g. corporate greetings). However, the website itself is mainly aimed at individuals. All our cards are all design- lead and designed by independent designers who normally license exclusively to us. We try and really focus on quality designs, and stay away from brand tie-ins like Disney, etc. The majority of our customers are female. The logo would go at the top of the website, but would also be as part of a re-brand- same layout but totally overhauled colour scheme - i.e. a new masthead behind the logo and so on (and a move away from green). The logos would also appear on the back of all the products we sell and be used on all our social media outlets. Thanks for all and any feedback! |
