If I wanted to do that, I'd just go and buy them. I want to actually cook something myself thanks.

The WORST one for this is "Chili powder" when the recipe already has Cayenne, Cumin, Coriander etc. in it.
Please FTLOG just scrap that all together, because no one brand of "Chili powder" is ever the same as another brand, and just add the right amounts of the constituent ingredients.

This annoys the hell out of me as well. It tends to happen a lot with recipes from the US but is by no means exclusive to there.
