Just completed this (on easy as I wanted to play it through once before going for Veteran Mode) and really enjoyed it.
It's extremely linear and really you're getting guided through the story every step of the way, with no chance of going anywhere other than where the game wants you to go, but it's a great experience.
Some of the missions really draw you in. I found in particular a mission set on D-Day at the beach landings was really emotive. Won't spoil it but there were a few bits that surprised me.
There was actually a bit where I had a timer saying 5mins till reinforcements and I was actually worried about if all my troops would make it Doesn't even matter as long as you survive but guess it gets you attached to them.

Was good fun to play a game that kept me playing that much, not great at getting round to completing games so this one must have been something.

Now to master it, get all the achievements and get vaguely good enough to play it online.
