Good job Looks lovely.

I love the body shape of the E46 coupé - M3 is out of my reach though. I've been to look at a couple of 330ci recently, but think i'm actually going to end up with an e39 5 series as they just seem better value at the lower end of the market.

always been the case that the 5 series offers better value 2nd hand than the 3

the diesels fetch too much but a nice 530i or better still a 540i are superb value

Never seem to get any water marks. Didn't do anything special. When washing and rinsing never use a pressure washer - washed with a mit and then rinsed with a gentle stream of water (not a spray). Then dry off any excess with the water magnet towel, works a treat

EDIT: The wash mit is excellent by the way, the other side has a mesh on it that will clean off all sorts including tar with just normal car shapmoo and nothing else. No swirls or scratches. The clay bar lifts off all sorts of clag and leaves the paint feeling glass smooth. I also was able to remove a couple of surface scratches easily with the polish.

OK it's not something you are going to (or should do) every other week, but once or twice a year - it's worth the effort.
