Duh duh, duh duh duh.....another one bites the dust!
360 kept crashing playing Forza2 last night so I left it off and went to bed. Came down this morning, turned it on, loaded Forza2. Hit the Start Race button and it crashed again. Turned it off, back on, TROD
Still got the receipt so will take it in for a swap. If they check the warranty seal I'll play dumb and say it was second hand (which it was) and the receipt shows it wasn't bought in this area so kind of backs me up. Oh well.

Bugger
I noticed you repeatedly showing as logging onto live last night while I was racing, that was obviously when it fell over.

Tried it again before I left. It fires up but once I try and start a race it dies on me. Only had the red lights once so far but still going to try and swap it at the weekend.
Anybody know what Game are like for swapping?

Crikey, I still have my release day one. Is there anyone else here that hasn't had theirs die on them? It's a bit of a worry.

My 360 was basically DOA - the one it was replaced with is still going touch wood. Though I don't run any games that generate a lot of heat really - the Gears and Crackdowns - I play a lot of arcade games and Guitar Hero more than anything else. And I'm keeping it horizontal which is supposedly better for air flow though I don't know what difference that makes.
Game are more likely to check the warranty seal than your supermarket type places Jim, and if they find it you could be in for a fight. If it comes to it you could just do a new purchase at supermarket swaperoo trick.

I'll go for Game first seeing as I have the receipt for them. If that fails then I'll have to go down another route.
Are you suggesting I buy a new one from X shop, pop my knackered one back in the box and then return it for a full refund?

If you have no problem wrestling with the moral dilemma of, then I know it's been done. Do it to Tesco, they've got enough money

I'm hoping I don't get any problems, I bought it from a guy who got it free on a mobile contract so I don't really have anywhere to go back to apart from direct to Microsoft. I have no receipt, but with them all having three year warranty now then every xbox in the country is covered.
*crosses fingers*
