Now I'm stuffed. Just went to race the final level of the Corvette manufacturer races and I had the xbox hang up, which it's done before if there's a speck of dust on the disk. Took the disk out and it's got a ring of scratches just under an inch from the outside edge.
Cleaned it, tried to race again and after a few minutes loading the race I got a dashboard message telling me that it can't read from the disk. No **** Sherlock Not really sure what to do now, I don't have my receipt for the game (it was bought cash from Currys) so I can't take it back for replacement but if the box is scratching disks then it's a bit worrying. I've never heard of that before.

It was a common fault with the launch units actually. RMA job for both most likely, though I'm not sure what you'll get out of MS Forza wise.

Oh that's frustrating. I'll call MS tomorrow.
In the meantime, I've moved all games away from the console. I'm not having any more get damaged

Be prepared to be on hold for a while when you ring them. I finally got around to ringing them tonight about returning my 360, was on hold for just under an hour before I got through to someone. Speak slowly as well, they're American so they may have trouble with your accent (or it could just be my scouse). They're very polite and friendly though, and will repeat everything back 3 times to make sure they have it right, so I can't fault them for that.

Took about half an hour of holding then I spoke to an English guy, at one point I asked where they are and he said "mainland Europe, and that's all we're allowed to say".
All sorted, they've mailed me a label for arranging collection and repair. He also said that I need to take a photograph of the game disk and email that through to the game replacement system to get a replacement FoC. I'm pleased it's developed a fault early, but I'm annoyed because I'll be without it for a month.

Well I'm still banging away (fnar)!
Moved up a few levels and finished off a couple more championships. Anybody grabbed the new DLC? Some FREE Nissan cars are available and there's a Peugeot for 50 points. I've got them downloaded but not had a spin in them yet.
