As you probably know that's sadly the price you often pay with small fans. Might be replaceable if you fancy popping the lid.

If I knew enough about switches I'd probably want one, but as it is I'll just stay happy with my wireless router for now

bearing in mind that these switches of often designed to be able to cope with being put in hot comms cabs you could probably get away with either swapping the fans out with fewer quieter ones (YSTech do quiet 40mm fans) or even 7-volting the fans if there is a 5v and a 12v available (other combinations will work, but I will let someone else do the maths)
