Default Bioshock *not demo*

Right, we're not playing the demo anymore, new thread time! I see Davey was in the game earlier so I'm not the only one who got an early delivery.

Having lots of fun, I've completed the first main level thingie with the Doctor geezer but am a little frustrated that I've only got space for a couple of Plasmids, even though it said it's possible to expand that I've not been able to yet.

This is the first proper non racing type game I've played on a console so still getting the hang of the movement system but it's good, I'm enjoying it

Part way through the second level you'll come to a machine that'll let you increase your Plasmid slots an extra two times, though it costs 100 ADAM each time to do so (though if you've been dealing with the Big Daddies you should have enough by then). When you get around to that machine, you should end up with about 7 of the full 10 available to you already (if you can afford to buy them all), which I find nice that you don't have to wait until really late in the game to get them all.

Btw, the game kicks major arse

I'm finding it pretty tough going on medium difficulty. Eve, ammo and first aid all get used up pretty quickly!

I find the best tactic with single enemies is simple shocking them to keep them still, then move in for a headshot with the shotgun. A single blast usually takes them down, and lets you save your pistol and SMG ammo for multiple-attacker fights

Only saw two Big Daddies on the first level so hopefully there will be more before I get that far on the next level. I'm very low on ammo though but I'm sure there will be enough of that around or buyable.

Actually really enjoying it even on the 'easy' setting. Mrs. Feek sat watching as I was playing all evening and she liked it as well. She said that she prefers watching that sort of game to playing it.

Lynne's the same, she watched me play Bioshock all night, sometimes with a cushion to her face as she was waiting for something to jump out and try to kill me

I'm liking that a lot of the achievements are hidden until you unlock them - Toaster In The Bathtub.

Also really liked the melting ice effect when I blasted it with fire.

I thought the Faceplate was a Play.com exclusive?

I'm going shopping shortly and I still can't guarantee that it won't tempt me in Gamestation
