Unhappy Need a new office chair.

I need a new office chair. The pheumatics failed on mine. So it now refuses to raise above minimum which makes it hard to use my PC's....

Must be one of the ones suitable for intensive use. Mesh back if possible , arms are needed as well. £150 ish....

I did take a look in the Ikea catalogue *I know...* and liked the look of the Markus office chair, but they're not expecting any of those in for 2 months so I'm on the hunt.

I've tried Staples and they've got bugger all in store - all has to be specially ordered

Any suggestions?

Ta.

I had a massive comfy 1980's "I'm Important" office chair when I was at university. That was until Ben the fat bastard sat in it and broke it. Grrrrr.

Mines gone in exactly the same way! Can't afford to replace it though and being small anyway the height isn't hindering me too much.

I need a new one too, the leather arms have all split and it's getting manky.

I want this baby - http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/10070361

But can't really afford her.

I looked at that one - didn't find it that comfy.
Plus the name... The Klappe....

I really like the Markus though...

Can I cope with a knackered chair for 8 weeks? I dunno....

Mine went that way. I did figure out how to get the arms off so it was at least theoretically possible to re-cover them, but it'd have been a mess. Then the steel baseplate gave up when I managed to recline the chair too far (literally - 3 inch 'tear' in the steel) and that was that.

Got a new one from Staples, and while it has it's 'moments', it's generally pretty comfy.
