Isn't life just great!
Next week, I was due to head out to Paris again. The programmers there have a problem, and I'm the man for the job. I was starting to get a repuation for being reliable and professional. I had everything booked and was really looking forward to it. Nice office, overlooking Paris.
This morning, I thought I'd take a look in my case and see how much cash I have spare for the visit. A quick check reveals that there is no cash there. In fact, there is also no passport, no EHIC card, no credit cards, nothing. Everything is gone. Having just spent the last 2 hours being moaned at (or on the phone to the police), I ask the following question: Is anyone else having a wonderfully crap day?

Yup, you need one if travelling abroad.

The case is actually a small leather case, I didn't realise it at the time but I'd left it a bit open, making it easy to reach inside on the crowded tube.
I think they've just picked whatever they wanted. Cards, cash and passport are easy targets. I'm not too upset about the items themselves as they are easy to cancel/renew, even though it'll cost me a bit (it was my fault though). It's the fact that I've let so many people down. Next time I'm going to take the journey a little slower, no more rushing around leaving things open. Lesson learnt, me thinks.

Hopefully work will rearrange it to be later this month.
Tonight, I'm going to buy myself a cake.
