Sex....... with Mum and Dad

I wondered if anyone else had been watching this BBC series, I've watched both episodes on BBC iPlayer and found them fascinating. The series is about real young people and their attitudes to sex and their parents attitudes and how these clash. I feel I had a bit of an insight working with young people every day but its still pretty eye opening for me so I expect a lot of other people would be shocked too.

In the last program an 18 year old girl had had sex with ~35 men since she because sexually active at 16, it wasn't the number that shocked me though but her attitude and you could tell that she wasn't really getting anything from these encounters. In the same episode a guy who gave the impression of being a real jack the lad had only had one sexual encounter but his initial attitude to women was terrible and you could tell he had the potential to turn into the kind of guy the girl featured had been sleeping with.

A lot of the kids attitudes stem from emotional issues at home like having gone through parents divorces or dealing with step parents. The women who works with the people is also very interesting to listen to, she really gets to the root of the issues which the sexual behavior are symptoms of.

Do you know what... the title of this thread scarred my brain!!! I was stunned into a silence and pulled the most grotesque facial expression, which involved scringing up my eyes and nose, a raised left cheek and an obtuse mouth with my jaw nearly to the ground. This pose was held for at least 10 seconds... I'm glad the wind didn't change direction.

All I can think of now is my Ma and Pa nekky... having sex.... (the nekky bit was bad enough!)

Anyhoooo... upon reading the thread I shall deffo see whether we can take a peek at this! Sounds very interesting and by the sounds of things echoes a lot of what my kids used to say/be like when I was mentoring.

I watched this sometimes its interesting

The one Iain and i watched last was about 2 girls one was still a virgin and was 16 bought up by her mum and her mum was over protective and would pick her up at night after she's been out with friends she's tell her what she could or couldn't wear. very controlling.

The other girl was 17 and slept with 2 men and she's been in serious relationships with both and was still with the 2nd bloke.
The problem was her stepdad treated her like a slag and would just walk into her bedroom without knocking, his reason for doing that is that she wouldn't be having sex in there knowing that he could just walk in on her.

The mum was great and very laid back and the stepdad didn't agree and was really ott with the girl and poor girl was trated like she was a slag.
I'd be so proud of my girls if they had only been with 2 guys at 17 especially as they was serious relationships and not a romp in the park after drinking too much cider.
