When did Rich_L move to Newcastle?
During the couple of days we were without interweb whilst Virgin undertook the incredibly complex task of de-activating our ex-flatmate's account and activating mine, I was having a bit of a look to see if there was a wireless connection I could 'borrow' for a few minutes to get my fix when this appeared on the available networks list.
(Incidentally, all our neighbours appear to have secure networks - miserable gits ).

I was browsing the available networks from my parents. One of them was called 'Don't even think about it'. Like I would do such a thing.
It was secured anyway, as were all the others. |

I thought that WEP encryption was fairly easy to crack? They maybe security enabled but unless its WPA I thought it was not that hard? |

It is. There's tools 'out there' that'll crack WEP given a sampling of packets. I believe there's at least been theoretical cracking of WPA as well, though I'm not sure that's real-word viable yet.
