So... what's the process these days for sending a 360 back to MS?

Release day machine finally gave up the ghost with three red sectors flashing. As I understand it, the three year warranty should have me covered up until this December so I need to get MS to collect this one. Do I need to send my HD back too?

I did it, no problem - Phone them, give them the serial number and they'll go through it all with you. You package it up, they collect it, they fix it, they send it back. It was painless for me.

All you send back is the main box, you keep the HD and all your accessories.

What Feek said Mine took exactly 2 weeks to come back. That was in February iirc.

Damn! It started working again! Do you reckon it's still worth sending off, even if they receive it and it works? It happened once about a month ago but a restart sorted it out. This time I tried restarting about fifteen times before I started the thread... thought I'd give it one last go before bed and it fired up. :/

i have had the same .. got mine back 2 weeks ago.

before you send it.. make sure there is not a game in the drive
I left forza2 in there (like a muppet!) but to be fair they send me a full new copy!

mine did that for about a week.. then RROD completely
just sort it now
