Apple / iPod experts in here please!
Hi guys!
I found an 8Gb iPod Nano in my car this afternoon. Unfortunately, it was on the wet side of my car and so at some point it will have got damp. I connected it to my PC and iTunes popped up with a load of music on it (all rap ) but the buttons on the iPod itself dont work. The hold button I can slide back and forth so a padlock appears and disappears at the top of the screen but the buttons dont do anything I did the apple update thing for it and it rebooted but its now asking me to select a language (which I can't do ) and is no longer showing up on my PC. I obviously don't have a receipt for this but I would quite like to have a working, completely free 8Gb Nano if for no other reason than it would be saleable What should I do / say to try and get Apple to repair it for me FOC? Is this doable? Cheers guys! |

I doubt you'd you get it done FOC but it would be a good idea to get it changed. All you'll need to do is to get the click wheel replaced.
I'm just looking for some info.....check back later How about this? Yep that will fix your problem and here is your guide.

I can't believe you are going to steal something someone left in your car, what a ****ish thing to do.

Well the guy I bought it from also left a head unit, a bottle of lube, two boxes of condoms, a couple of CDs and a box of ball bearings in the car. I asked him about those and also the whereabouts of the spare Mintex brake pads as well as spare air and oil filters he was supposed to have sold the car with. He told me I could keep ALL of the stuff left in the car and that he had "lost" the spares I was owed.
That and the fact he lied to me about a few things about the car, I don't think I will be losing any sleep over it. Last edited by Dr. Z; 01-04-2008 at 20:35. |

See, the full story makes you less of a **** then. Finding something like that 6 months into owning a car is an impressive oversight on your behalf.

It was jammed into the seat mechanism right in the back as close to the drivers side as you can get. It was so wedged I thought it was a part of the seat that I had somehow snapped off as I was feeling about for the last bolt to remove the seat.

Nothing wrong with rap music! Then again when I moved to London all I listened to was hip-hop, jungle, drum & bass and garage! Still love that **** though
Nice blag on the find though - hope you get it fixed!

This was all Jay-Z and Fiddy Cent.
Not a decent rap artist on there. Some rap I can listen to |

Very good find. All I got was a packet of Quavers and the old personalised plates. Hmph! Some people get all the luck
