What's this MINI worth?
A colleague of my dad is moving jobs to the US and needs to get rid of his car. He's a bit of an enthusiast so I'm confident it's in good working order and he appears to have been honest with what's wrong with it. He's had an offer from a garage but needs to get rid by the end of the week.
Details: 2003 Model (52 Reg) Mini Cooper 'S' 53k miles Dlr Order : 1107018 AG Order : 4180683 Chassis : TC64184 Reg Mark : RV52XVX Vin Prefix WMWRE32080 Engine Number D198Q162 Reg Date 01/09/2002 Order Type RC Retail Customer Dealer 16271 Barons (F) Dealer Tel 01252 518185 Quota Month 08/2002 Production Week 33-08-2002 Arrived Dealer 20/08/2002 First Consigned 15/08/2002 Model RE32 MINI Cooper S 1.6 4-Cyl 16V Colour 871 Dark Silver Metallic Upholstery T6LP Leather GRAVITY-Blue/Blk Option 210 Dynamic Stability Control Option 249 Multi-function on S/Wheel Option 314 Heated Mirrors/Washerjets Option 383 Roof&Mirror Caps in Black Option 403 Elec Panoramic Glass Roof Option 494 Front Seat Heating Option 534 Air Conditioning Auto Option 609 Satellite Navigation Option 650 Single CD Player Option 692 CD Changer Prep Option 872 CHILI Pack Needs- A good Cleaning Up/Down handle on drivers seat Front Tires perhaps before MOT MOT expires October 12th, 2008 11.8k miles till next service There is a palm dent on the back hatch below the handle and reg number from over-eager closing force. Garage has offered £6000, which seems a fair bit lower than book price. I'm quite tempted if it's a bargain, but I don't necessarily need a new car right now. I have been looking around though... Nice, if thats had the TLC package and has been main dealer serviced you can get that extended for cheap servicing. Only -ative in my eyes is Sat Nav which makes the centre dial look naff but its a minor and personal thing tbh.
I couldn't tell you what its worth but £6000 seems very cheap to me although it is an early model. If it helps I would want and would get at least £16k for mine. MB |

Not sure really but I am surprised that they are now going for that kind of money. Now with a smaller pulley on the supercharger you really are laughing (~200 bhp IIRC).

So in summary if you can get it (throw him 500 more) then I would go for it. Then do the above, it has to be done really |

Wow it really is quite the bargain then. £9000 does seem to be the dealer value even on the 52's. Even if I got it and didn't like it I could probably make a few quid. Think I'll check out the insurance tomorrow and see what quotes are like. Thanks for the info.

Lovely colour! Isn't that the same colour as you Works, MB? It looks very similar to the colour of my R32 too.
