Very good. I found it more amusing afterwards when they started argueing over layered switches and hubs.

Haha! I also now feel completely non-geek sitting in an IT workshop in the basement!

It's funny but at the same time I don't think the interviewer was entirely in the right either, as was pointed out he did specify any means at the employees disposal so although most of us who didn't know all the answers (me - I've never used Linux or needed to) would simply Google for some of the answers this could potentially have been a quicker way to achieve the results.

Whilst there is at least a small amount of blame for the interviewer, just copying and pasting the questions wholesale is atrocious. You'd expect at least to have seen some attempt to answer them, or maybe dot them around in a few places to get the answers rather than just in a single page. Not only that but for him to clearly state why he was posting the questions smacks of naivety at best, if not utter stupidity. Did they really expect folks would help?

Sorry, perhaps I wasn't particularly clear, I think that whoever posted the questions is a div of the highest order and as was mentioned it goes against the spirit of the exercise. I wouldn't attempt to disagree with that and I don't think they deserve that job (or any other where a modicum of research is required) but when you say dot them around, it sounds a bit like you'd be happier with a slightly more sophisticated method of 'cheating'.

I wouldn't be happier with it as such, I'd just think the guy that was posting the questions was less of an idiot
