Default Comfort Foods and drinks

When you are feeling ill/down/depressed/yucky, what is your primary comfort food/drink?

Mine is probably cheese on toast. I don't only have it when I feel like poo, but if I am feeling exceedingly down it is something which I will end up craving (esp cathedral city cheese nomnomnom)

If I am feeling nauseous for some reason flat diet coke will help settle my stomach.

Cookies or Donuts for me I'd say, though I don't have a specific food.

Chocolate milk shake. I'm drinking a lot of that at the mo. Not sure about food though, I tend to have cravings when I'm down and wont be relieved of the down-ness til I have eaten what I want.

I've had a good long think and I can't think of any particular food which I would call a comfort food

On the odd occasion I feel down, I simply get pished and kick myself up the arse and get on with it. I'm quite lucky like that. If something gets me down, I'll lob some single malt down my throat, go to bed, wake up in the morning and say to myself "Right fatty, let's get this sorted." If I'm ill, I'll whinge until I get sympathy and then feel better because somebody was kind enough to give it - job's a good un
