Default Probem POP/SMTP to my local mail server

Hello!

I have a problem and I'm not sure why.

I run a box with MDaemon to host all my email on, I want to configure my mobileme account to collect mail from a particular address so I can pick it up when easily when I'm out and about.

However, it fails to connect. In fact, I don't think it's even reaching MDaemon. I tried to set up a connection from my Touch to the mail server a few weeks ago and it failed so I think this may have been an issue for a while.

In my router I have both ports 25 and 110 forwarded, there's no firewall on the MDaemon box but it still appears to be failing to connect. I've tried direct to my IP and via the domain name with no avail.

Can someone try remotely connecting to me, smtp and/or pop to mail.all-one-word.com and/or 78.32.149.35 and see if you can make connections. If not, where should else I be checking?

I can connect to you on both ports. Want to give me some credentials for POP to try?

How odd. I just SSH'd to the BD box and that can telnet in on both ports, by name or by IP. Ditto the box dwuk is on.

Hmm, so you can but DRZ can't. This concerns me, but at least it means that it's sort of working ish.

Is it trying to use TLS by default? It'll be after different ports if it is - 993 for IMAP and 995 for POP iirc.
