Hmm interesting, have a half-knackered 21" CRT and a knackered 37" widescreen CRT taking up space (a LOT of space!) in my cupboard.
Just done a bit of research, apparently the council will pick them up for free Nice to know my council tax goes on something useful, lol!

They'll pick them up?
Useless Liverpool council. The only thing that comes round knocking at our door is a fat, lippy, post-menopausal, argumentative, middle aged woman around election time.

Yeah, I was quite surprised! Might be worth checking your council waste disposal website (Haringey are min http://www.haringey.gov.uk/index/env...bulkyitems.htm)
Just leave it outside, book a collection, job done!
