Default OK Top Gun fans, explain something to me and little Miss Feek.

When Goose is in the water, there's lots of green stuff around.

Is it:
  1. Blood (does blood show green in sea water?)
  2. Fuel
  3. Something else which isn't either blood or fuel (if so, what?)

Who knows?

I was told it was some sort of luminous dye that would make disperse in the water and make it easier to find where the plane crash landed.

Ahh yes, that was option 4 which we discussed during the film but I forgot to put, although I never used the word 'luminous'. Dang nabbit.

I only bought the DVD last night - £6.99 from Play for the 2 disc version. Bargain.
