You'll ruin your hair though. You can't keep applying colours no matter what the product manufacturers say about it "nourishing" the hair.

Yeah I know. On the whole I am very careful with my hair - I don't use products other than shampoo and conditioner, don't use hair-drier, straighteners, curlers or anything like that and when I have dyed it in the past I make sure its in good condition to start with and will use deep conditioning conditioners. I know I'm lucky to have thick healthy hair so I do my best to minimise damage to it.

I use the aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner when I have dyed hair.

Also, Tak, Have you used the John frieda red stuff? I love the colour glaze when I have red hair

Ooo yes I have and I tried the botanics variant of it too. I found that after a week or so my hair started feeling gunky, it was like no matter how much I rinsed it still felt like there was residue left in my hair :/

Yh, I found if i used it every day, it sort of coated my hair, and it was as if it didnt wash out properly :/

But once a week was ace

(I dont mean I only washed my hair once a week, I mean I used that stuff once a week lol)

I use charles worthington shampoo as its the only one that leaves my hair silky smooth.
