Venison is amazing such a good idea to make it into a pie. Looks hearty and delicious. I love pies muchly! Lots of protein too - just the sort of thing I need!

You could just as easily stick dumplings on it and serve it as a casserole instead as it's all cooked by the time you put the pie lid on. It was proper melt in the mouth stuff and was still as good served re-heated the next day. Won't be long before I make this again I fear!!

My mum shirked on the pie at the weekend.
There was no pastry base! Guilty as charged as that was the best bit of the steak pie BB x |
