Anyone here love 'AIR'
I have to say that AIR would have been as musically oposite as I could have got about 6 months ago, these days though I am loving the chill out side of things, just something really nice on the ears.
Anyone else like AIR or like something similar that they could recommend to me? |

Check out Nouvelle Vague, another very chilled French band. If you like them you might also like some of the recent Unkle albums which are very different to their early trip hop breakbeat roots of Coldcut, Ninja Tune and early James Lavelle mixes.

Without wanting to sound bias but Air are a very cool band. I quite like Zero 7 for that genre, and also Cafe Del Mar for that sort of chill out music.

Funny you should mention but I have been a fan of COldCut for years, they also own Ninja Tune if memory serves me correctly.

I'm a frog - I'm bound to do anything to sell some redeeming value to my countryfolk! lol!
The Cafe Del Mar albums I have are: 20th Anniversary 1 & 2 Chillhouse 1 & 2 Volume Ocho Volume Siete A complete mix of stuff, but it's very good. More French goodness is something called Buddha Lounge - it's an awesome Bar in Paris where they play a lot of this sort of stuff and funnily enough it's called the Buddha Bar (really trendy night spot if ever you go to Paris). There are many "Buddha Lounge" compilations out there will all sorts of remixes, and cool chillhouse/electro-funk pop - just some amazing stuff really. Check it out

Royksopp and Lemon Jelly are the ones to come to mind along with the others mentioned.
Last.fm has a bunch more suggestions here. http://www.last.fm/music/Air/+similar
