Skate 2 worth getting?
Hi guys,
Feel like getting another game and I'm wondering what to buy. I've heard a lot of talk about Skate 2 and I'm wondering what the general opinion of it is. Does it get repetitive after a while? I always loved the Tony Hawks series back on the PS1/PS2 so I think I'd like this. |

Not played Skate 2 yet, but it's completely different to Tony Hawks style wise. Tony Hawks seems very arcadey now compared to Skate 2, which is much more realistic. You can't pull off stupid tricks like you can in the TH games. There's a demo available on the Xbox Marketplace if you fancy trying it out

With respect to Gears I think it would help to play the first one, simply to understand the story more. It's not essential I think, but I find it to be a good story overall and worth playing through in order if you can

Aye, in order is definitely better as the second game is better, so if you played the 2nd game first you might miss a few things that aren't in the original.

I really shouldn't buy any more games now. Got way to many to complete! The temptation always gets the better of me though.
Agh, bought a play and charge kit aswell, didn't realise they were so cheap. Ebay is a cash drain! Last edited by Denic; 11-02-2009 at 21:57. |

You did the right thing by getting the first one. I loved the first one, it's fantastic and is needed purely to understand the story.
