Can't wait for this. Except I still need to buy another copy of Bioshock, having lost my CD key for the first one and never completed it Hoping for another Steam sale.

Never forget dropping into the sea the first time round and seeing the water effects, and then again as the water crashed through the tunnel. One of those seminal gaming moments.

Me either. I sat there for a minute, I thought I was still watching a cutscene!

Only ever happened to me on 3 games, Silent Hill 2 on the PS2, Splinter Cell: Double Agent on Xbox360 and Bioshock on Xbox360. Amazing.

Bloody loved Bioshock. If Bioshock2 is anything like as good we are in for a good game!

I'm in the minority that thought Bioshock wasn't that great. It had all the makings of a fantastic game but the combat just ruined it for me. I played the game on medium and by the end was so buffed up i could kill a heavy with a wrench. I would have restarted the game on hard, but to be honest i had grown bored of the whole thing, fights were nearly all identical, i can't quite put my finger on exactly what was wrong but it just didn't feel 'right' to me. The infinite free respawns were also a bit of a strange addition. The whole game felt like System Shock 2 dumbed down for the masses, inventory was infinite, money and 'adam' were plentiful and enemies weren't as fierce (on normal again).

That said, the art direction, atmosphere, graphics, storyline and sound were a cut above, it's just a shame the gameplay didn't appeal to me. If they improve on the problems i outlined above in the sequel while keeping the games merits intact it will instantly become one of the greatest games ever in my eyes.

Best moment for me was the first encounter with a little sister in the theatre ... and then the big daddy pummelling the splicer. I genuinely winced.

Or perhaps Sander Cohen waltzing down the stairs to admire his masterpiece letting off fireworks and clearly nuttier than a crate of Sunpat.

That's what happens when the big money is made on XBOX and PS3 games sales.
