We hardly play on ours anymore. If it wasnt for the Zelda series, I would have sold it ages ago.

Suffice to say I don't regret getting an Xbox when my original plan was a Wii, so I'd agree with the overpriced comment - though someone must be prepared to pay for them.

I bought my Wii on it's original release date for £179.99 inc. Wii Sports (and a relative bought me twilight princess )
I found it amazing that last Christmas they were still selling for that price and were also going for up to £300 on ebay etc for Christmas gifts! I do love the Wii, I think it's great fun and a wonderful 'experience' console, but it's price shouldn't remain at original RRP some years on, let alone raising in cost when it hasn't changed at all! All the other consoles have reduced in price / have different, more enhanced/basic versions and the Wii should follow this trend imo; however, if people are still buying at this price, readily, hungrily! then what daft business-person is going to reduce it's RRP ?

I heart my Wii. It's perfect for the wife and I to play some Mario Kart or Wii Sports or whatever. It's not challenging, it's just fun. Of course I probably wouldn't be playing it if I didn't have anybody to play it with, but as a social gaming (is that a phrase?) device, it's unparalleled. And as long as people buy it at the price, it's not overpriced

Social gaming is indeed a phrase, and the one most commonly used to describe the Wii. It's good for groups of none-gamers, but give me an Xbox360 and Fifa 09 with a group of friends over it any day!
If only things worked like that. Here's an example - Petrol. Definitely overpriced. |

Ours only comes out when friends pop over really and you fancy having a laugh. Other than that, it's rarely used.

Mine's mainly used to entertain my cousins as they can't get enough of the wii.
For adult social games we stick with the 360 thanks to Scene It and Guitar Hero. Would have thought for others, Lips would be popular too.
