Default Rock Band

I was thinking of picking up Rock Band 2 for the 360 and I remember reading that you can use GH equipment with it. I also remember reading about using a combination of both sets of equipment for best use but can't remember which ones.

Can someone let me know which periphials are best to use with RB? I already have a GH guitar so that's a start at least.

Thanks.

ps, most sites are still banned at work so links may not work

My personal favourite guitar is the X-Plorer that came with GH2. It's wired but I've still not used one that matches it. The wireless Gibson from GH3 is very good as well, just not quite as good as the previous guitar (I always found my scores to be slightly better with the X-Plorer).

As for drums, if you're only going to play Rock Band and not Guitar Hero then you'll be best getting the RB drums. There is a new set due out soon I think, which are quieter with a stronger foot pedal (the one with the original drum set had a tendency to snap).

I believe that there is a title update due/done recently that will let you use the Lips microphones in RB. Not sure if you have Lips, but they're good mics. Otherwise you can probably pick up the RB mic quite cheaply and it'll do the job very well.

I believe it's widely regarded that GH drums are better, but Rock Band is easily the better game. GH2 guitar is my favourite (like Davey) and there is an update coming for Lips to use the Lips microphone in Rock Band.

They have it covered ^^

rb2 + rb1 (rental/borrow) + dlc + gh2/3 guitar and your set for a cracking time

Davey is on the money with the pedals though - been through 4 myself (literally )

I preferred the strat buttons but didn't like the strum being silent. I use Les Pauls.

Cheers folks, it won't be right away anyway, so will keep an eye out for the new set of drums.
