Congrats about the news but think long and hard about a 2 hour commute because you'll hate it very quickly.

That a crazy amount of travelling. I'd move closer. I do a hour to work myself each way and then a 12 hour shift when I get there. I could never contemplate that on a 5 day week even if I was only doing an 8 hour day when I got there.

I get 4 days rest after doing it for 4 days and as you get older you need it

I used to do the commute before I moved to Cotswold, I quite enjoyed it tbh.

1 hour (30 mins either side of the train) walking/listening to music, and 1 hour on the train.

Thinking about putting some TV series onto my iPod that I've never seen before...

Oh yes....

I now have a plan \0/

I phoned the area manager up and said I'd accept the job but needed slightly more money as I'd be shelling out on travel, and I want to be put on the management training program.

He agreed to both terms

My plan is to do the training programme, progress until I'm at a suitable level + experience for management, then transfer to a store in the Lake District or similar when the vacancy becomes available.
I hate living where I do now
My hayfever always seems better up north too... less pollution and crap I guess!
