Default Have I killed MSN?

Have I killed MSN or is it inexplicably dead?
Not working on 2 PCs in the house but noticed web messenger seems to be working, so wondered if I've knackered something.

MSN.
I've just tried installing Live and it won't connect either :/
Just says it's temporarily not available.

Just had a quick look at help:
Quote:
Error 81000314, 81000377 or 81000378: Your contact list is not available

If you receive one of these messages, your contact list is not available or is in read-only mode. Wait a few minutes, and then try to sign in again.
The first error code is the one I get.

Hmm, dunno then. Cant find anything on the MS sites, but they're never the fastest updating.

[edit]I've had that before and it did indeed go away on its own. Ages ago though.

Actually, I get a different error message sometimes too :/
Also says there's a problem with the firewall. But when I test the connection through its troubleshooter, I have no problems come up.

A couple of people on my list went offline earlier mid conversation and they're ntl customers too, so it could be an ntl issue.

Hmm hadn't thought of it from that angle. Maybe then.
They have been pretty good lately so maybe this is their revenge

Probably! At work it randomly disconnects sometimes and a while later just suddenly reconnect.

Well 3 PCs in the house with MSN not working, unless the settings fairy has been around in the night, I suspect this problem is out of my hands
