Migrating iTunes into Windows 7
Hey,
I've never really liked iTunes when it comes to reinstalls/new OS's. So whats the best way to move an existing iTunes setup from Vista, into Windows 7? I've installed build 7600 today, and probably going to be using it more and more now that its so close (if not already there) to final build. So could do with setting up iTunes to mirror the vista setup |

Just copy across the iTunes folder (the one in your 'my documents', not the one from program files) and it should pick everything up fine

iTunes rocks.
i've used all sorts in the past and spent a good few years using alternatives with my first few iPods, but now with the iPhone i'll stick with iTunes. Cheers Dymetrie, i'll set it up and see how i get on. (just need to change a drive letter so it can find everything first!) |

Actually the only valid reason to use iTunes is probably having an iPhone, because iPhone support on the other alternative players doesnt always seem to be there. At least with media monkey anyway. Otherwise iTunes doesn't really do anything very well

Itunes works well on a mac it sucks on a PC. I only use it to synch my outlook and put songs on (when it works). Hateful program.

The only slight gripe I have is that it can be a little bit slow to react sometimes, but then again so can I

I just find it completely non-intuitive, slow and I hate how it has to convert all my mp3s into a format IT wants - that really ****s me off tbh. Winamp for me is the easiest mp3 player out there. I prefer itunes to WMP however.
