Default Would it be possible to take out a dinosaur with a .22?

Now I know this is all theoretical but I had a dream last night where there were a group of us in a hut which was something like a school classroom, but it was elevated. I don't know why it was elevated but it was. Just accept it and move on.

We were being attacked by a dinosaur, I don't know exactly what sort but it was something like this one.

Obviously it didn't have writing on it's back!

It kept poking it's head through a broken panel in the wall, no more of it than that was coming through and it was trying to get us.

Whether it's a vegesaurus or not, I don't care but it certainly seemed to be trying to bite us to oblivion.

There was a staircase which led to where my gun cabinet is and the only weapon available was a .22 with lots of ammo. We didn't get as far as actually trying to shoot the dinosaur because I woke up.

So, for future reference and I know it's all theoretical but would a .22 be enough to take one of these things down? I expect they have quite a strong skull but surely a few rounds through the eyes would get back to the brain and cause it to flop comically on the floor?

Remember kids, this is a dream and I don't intend to go running around the neighbourhood looking for long necked dinosaurs to shoot through the eyes!

I reckon so.

But don't some big-arse dinos like this have a "second" brain in their tail because the signals would take too long to get to the brain to be useful?

Therefore hypothetically you'ld have to shoot it in the bum too.

remember that despite the size these creatures had tiny brains and thick skulls, I doubt anything apart from a direct hit through the eye into the tiny brain would work, I reckon your best bet is to blind it so aim for the eyes anyway.

I believe if one bites you the best thing to do is to stick your finger in its bum, although that may only work for dogs and/ or people with very very long arms!

We'd have to double team it. Bagsie the gun end.

Not enough of a brain to keep it going it would seem

Are you suggesting I should stick a dog in the dinosaur's bum?

I wasn't but it sounds like a good compromise

I still reckon you should shoot the dinosaur in the bum too.

Unlikely, I'd've thought, given the size of an elephant rifle.
Maybe a tub of Tesco Extra Value pepper in its eyes and nose would be more effective

Don't suppose your gun licence covers you for a 20mm cannon does it Feek?
