Oooh, how about X-Com Apocalypse? Was an absolutely awesome game when it was released back in 1997, and if you can get it to run in Win 7 it'll certainly play well on the netbook.

Good recommendation and also it'll certainly run as it's been released on Steam. I bought it as a weekend offer for £1.50, bargain! It's now £3 however, oooo big money.
