Safe to say the remainder of this order isn't coming then? By 6:00pm the rest was coming. *sigh* Funny their call centre line say they shut the offices at 5pm. Great.

I've sent a big e-mail to Dell explaining what's gone on and I basically want the order cancelled, the money put back into my account and for them to look at that the hell went on with their courier. They seem like a waste of skin to me.

What's been the result of this? Are you any further along to resolving the problem in any way?

I managed to get Dell to cancel (a manager enforced it, the CSRs were not helpful)

Went with Scan and had them prompty with no dicking about whatsoever.

Best thing to do is contact your credit card company when stunts like that happen. Their legal team will get involved and save you a lot of hassle, very few firms want to go up against credit card lawyers! Dell aren't at fault (initially) the delivery firm is for delivering to the wrong location, however Dell ought to have solid procedures in place for handling such situations. Heck it's not enough of an unusual situation is it!

Hmmm, wish I'd seen this before I ordered a new laptop from Dell!

Have already had a load of hassle with just ordering the damn thing. Not heard anything from them since I actually managed to get the order through so decided to check the status of my order to find that it's apparently been shipped! Might have been a good idea to inform me of this so I can make sure someone is here to take delivery of it!

Not very impressed so far!
