Serves you right for having odd light fittings.
It's a fair point though. Why are they still filling new builds with spotlights and flush mount fittings. Neither of them take standard energy savers (and the flush fitting ones don't take any types of energy savers unless you replace the whole fitting with an LED unit). |

I've just replaced 12 standard spots with energy saving bulbs in our kitchen. With all the lights on, the kitchen is very dim.. Not much more than just having two normal singles. If it's not effective then I'd hardly call it efficient.
