Almost all Woody Allen films excluding his more recent films.
Almost all good films in their own right too!

Home alone 2 : list in NY. Never seen it though!
Had a list as long as my arm until I saw 'non-violent'

The only New York films I watch are girly ones, and I imagine you wouldn't want to watch them!

Ok, here goes! I think all of these were in NY, but I might be wrong (and there will be a lot more) Have starred the ones I thought were best for seeing NYC.
A Bronx Tale* Six Degrees Of Separation* Ghostbusters!* Gremlins (2?) Single White Female Sleepless in Seattle (Girly Alert!) Ghost (see above) Leon Clockers* Die Hard III BasketBall Diaries* Sleepers* As Good As It Gets Donnie Brasco Being John Malcovich Mickey Blue Eyes Garfield! Phone Booth Death to Smoochy* Two Weeks Notice (girly) Sweet Home Alabama (girly) 13 Going on 30 (girly) Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind The Terminal (although you don't see ANY of NY!)* Spiderman Taxi Cloverfield* Phew.

Was going to mention Ghostbusters/2 and Home Alone 2. The entirety of How I Met Your Mother is set in New York pretty much, and very good, but not a film.
The most recent Godzilla was I think, and part of the first X-Men film. Will try and think of more. Once Upon a Time In America is definitely set there, and excellent. IMDb top 100.
