Default Google images

I've tried hard but I really don't like the new Google Images. I say 'new', it's been like it for a while now. It just frustrates me.

Does anyone know of a way to revert it back to how it used to be?

I've been able to put the search page back but it's the way it handles images when one clicks on them that's still driving me up the wall.

It sucks. Why can't it display the image as it is instead of having it floating disembodied over the page? If you want to save the picture you have to close the damn thing and find it on the page anyway!

Even the tweak I used for this doesn't work once you search again

Or you just click 'Full Size Image' and right click save as...

Or better yet, just right click on the image in the lightbox. You don't need to get rid of it and find it in the page to save it at all. It's far quicker and easier than it was before IMO.

I specifically tried that before I posted and I didn't have the option. Just tried it again and now it works. No idea what happened there.

I was meant to reply to this and forgot!

Scroll all the way down after a search until it says "Load more images". Below that and to the right will be a "Use Original Search" button sorted.

But if you stopped writing about other things and made this your signature, yours could be like mine.
Look down, back up. Where are you?
You're on Boat Drinks, reading the signature your signature could be like.
I'm on a computer.

That only works on the current session and as soon as you click an image, you get the stupid new page after that
