Default New Xbox red dot of death?

My new style xbox seems to have died

It was working fine yesterday, went to turn it on this evening and the power button just lights up with a red dot in the centre. It won't even eject the disc that's in there.

Does anyone have any experience with this ? Or is it a send back to MS service centre?

Thanks

found the manual eject bit (they hid it well) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906935#Xbox360S

to add, all the stuff on the web about red dot says you get an error message but we're getting sweet fa.

I've not heard of any of the new slimmer Xbox's dying up until now, so not sure what that error would mean. I think MS support would definitely be your first port of call here.

Does the new style Xbox's power pack have a light on it?

If so, what colour is it glowing?
