iPhone : Synch iPhone calendar to Google Calendar

As title basically.

I can now see my google calendars on my iphone - but how do I add/synch all the info from my iphone to google calendars?

So at the moment everything is synching form google to the phone but not vice versa - is that possible?

Does it not do it automatically? I don't think I changed any particular settings to sync back to google. Have you tried making a new calendar entry?
