Has anyone got...
...a spare 256MB PC2100 SODIMM sitting around which they might want to donate to my little sister's laptop?
It's a POS Packard Bell iGo 4000 series (I know, but my dad is stupid, he was more stupid when I told him how bad this one was and he went out and bought another one :s) which seriously needs a kick up the arse. Anyhoo, it's due to be returned the weekend after next (4th November) and anything anyone can find would be greatly appreciated Thanks.

Think I might have one of those at work. I work from home lots but will try and get there sometime soonish (within a week). It's from my Dell laptop, but since the warranty is out on that, I don't need it any more.

I got all excited thinking I could help but I checked my old laptop (dead) and it's PC133 - sorry dude
On a side note, if anyone wants it, they're more than welcome to it (1x128Mb + 1x256Mb) - and anything else off a Toshiba S3000 for that matter. Stan

I'll be second in line after Zirax. And I might even be able to provide Dym with his DDR in return.
A while back vix tried to buy some RAM for her lappy from eBay. She bought SDR but the seller had listed it wrong and sent her DDR. The seller didn't really want his RAM back so vix got a partial refund and kept the DDR to sell on later. Since then the DDR has been sitting in my box of spare PC bits unused and we still haven't got any more SDR. With not being overly familiar with laptop RAM I'll need to check exactly what we've got and what we need though. Last edited by kaiowas; 25-10-2006 at 08:30. |

I *may* have a stick or two of laptop SDRAM. Somewhere. No idea where (it wasn't in the box I expected it to be in).

Finally got around to checking this after totally forgetting about it.
I have: Brand new 256mb PC2100 SODIMM I need: 256mb PC133 SODIMM (Well I wouldn't turn down 512 but I'm not going to push my luck ) If someone can supply me with the SDRAM I'm happy to send the DDR wherever it's needed. |

I'll try and find my other box of RAM tomorrow. I know I have two sticks of 256MB DDR as well as two sticks of unknown size PC100 or PC133. I think I ended up putting the lot in one box. Here's hoping.

Nope, but will have another look later (going into work to avoid the trick or treaters).
