To me that would mean its been owned by chavs. However at the price point, I don't think it matters. Have a look at the cambelt, is it fraying, does it actually look new? Pinch the belt and twist it, you should be able to twist it, but not past 90 degrees. You could do the job yourself, but you would have to set the timing after unless you were uber careful.

Ford are not respected for their diesel engines, instead licencing their tech from PSA I believe. Im considering a 306DTI or mondeo diesel to replace the bimmer as it happens.
