I must admit I thought it would be a problem for me, until I checked and found I'd used about 380MB since I got my phone 10 months ago. Giving me 500MB a month (when I'm predominantly on wireless anyway) seems fair on reflection.

Just wish they'd hurry up and say what the phone will actually cost. Lynnie wants an iPhone, so depending on the cost of the iPhone 4 we may pay off my contract and get me the new phone, and then pass mine to her. Given that I have 14 months left on my contract however, unless the phone is cheaper than the 3GS was last year (highly unlikely) it looks like we'll be waiting a while till we get an iPhone for her.

14 months left? They want £20 a month to pay it off so that's £280 before you've even started

Must admit, if we weren't saving for a wedding I'd probably have been flogging my 3GS (still going for good money if mint) and buying the new one

I know, that's my major sticking point. I can probably afford the phone itself, but the added cost of buying the contract out makes it too much. It's still cheaper than buying it as a PAYG phone though.

Negative. I've transferred a total of 1.1Gb since I got my iPhone in July last year.

I always find it strange how people get such varying service from the same provider. Besides flaky 3G service where I work, I find O2 to be brilliant for me, whereas Orange were so poor, with rubbish service and bad customer service to boot. The only thing I miss from Orange is Orange Wednesdays

^^me too. I still have orange wednesdays though. I lost regular phone/text contact with so many people because I had *no* signal whatsoever in my house on my mobile. Used to have to sit in the car at the end of the road to read/send texts or listen to answerphone messages I didn't know I had until I left the house. Rubbish. ANd they failed to port my number in the end so I had to swap. Since 02, no real problems apart from the initial failed port disaster (which they dealt with well from their end) and excellent coverage.

My only issue with o2 is that I can never connect to their free wifi hotspots.

Aye, this happens to me quite a lot.

It says all BT Openzone points but there never seems to be an o2 login bit

I'm on a computer.
