2 drives striped I guess? Personally I wouldn't like that for backup device. Not bad for some media repository or whatever though.

I hope this doesn't happen. As a longterm user it would royally piss me off

Heard this discussed on the radio yesterday.
Its seems very unlikely the downloaders will ever be prosecuted because of the wording of copyright law, it basically says that the only way to bring a criminal conviction is a) prosecute people who upload or b) proove a downloaders actions would have a significant detriment to the financial gains of a copyrighters income. If you are only downloading once then your individual impact is said to be negligable. No proceedings have been sucessfully brought against anyone in the UK for downloading for personal use at this time. I think we're pretty safe for the time being MB |

I'm not worried about me. But maybe they'll start trying to attack the providers and get them closed down. Not sure if it would be possible or not though.

It's remarkably easy once you get out of the mindset of needing to have everything simply because it's available. I got bored of filesharing and stuff a good 3-4 years ago and I don't miss it. In fact I go to a small LAN 2-3 times a year and I never get around to watching the small amount of stuff I pick up there so god knows where any of you find the time to actually watch the sheer volume of stuff you can get hold of with a maxed out 8mb connection these days.
