obviously I meant when spelling, not speaking. It's fairly obvious then!

My washing machine doesn't lie to me like that, it just taunts me by pretending to finish multiple times during a wash cycle - there's a silence for about 5 minutes and nothing appears to be happening so you think it's finished but nope, as soon as you move near it the damn thing starts up again for another few spins then stops again for a couple of minutes so you think it's finished but it lies, how it lies. Will can back me up on this one, the washing machine just pretends to finish so you'll move and go check on it - I think it may be lonely or possibly just cantankerous.

Our tumble-drier pisses us off. It buzzes insanely loudly at seemingly random times when it's drying clothes. Unfortunately the buzzer is so deeply buried in the internals I can't disable it
*BUZZZZZ* I've got 13 1/2 minutes to go!
*BUZZZZZ* No reason, just felt like buzzing.
*BUZZZZZ* Daddy or chips?

People who clearly have no idea what somewhere is like having never been there or anywhere near it but still feel the need to slag it off on a forum when someone posts asking what it is like.

For example someone whose knowledge of Scotland is based on having once seen a documentary about a run down council estate in the central belt that has a high proportion of neds. Then decides to post in a thread about the Highlands and make comments about Heroin or Buckfast and the fact that there is nothing to do there. If you are going to make sweeping stereotypical inane comments at least make them about the right part of the country!!!!

Irrational as I know they are talking guff and they aren't worth being irritated by
