Well it's a radio, it doesn't do anything else beyond being a radio!

Kitten has just said and I quote "That's going to be a bit heavy to carry around".

In her defense I did say "he's bought that instead of an iPhone" and she has just woken up

If you think that's going to be problematic, you should see the aeriel. You think TV aerials are big? You ain't seen nothing!

(No, I haven't seen Feek's - but I do very well remember my Dad's old setup before he moved/quit).

144.725MHz, eh? Anyone about?

I'm just waiting for my contract to expire in Jan 2010, then I'll stick with my current 3G until June when the next iPhone is released - which should be a bigger leap then the 3Gs.

I can see sales of the 3Gs going the way Vista did due to phone operators coming up with silly pay monthly figures though. I find it pretty pathetic that Apple chose not to enable video recording on the 3G via the 3.0 OS, when the phone once jailbroken has been doing it for yonks.

I just can't wait to jailbreak the 3.0 OS now. I've 'upgraded' to it on my 3G and the amount of things I've lost is unreal - background apps, email/sms/calendar notifications, SBS settings, neat custom fonts, custom icons (e.g the pos safari icon)...

/me starts to cry

That's a stock picture, I've not got mine yet but it'll spend most of the time on or around 144.300MHz which is the SSB calling frequency.
