Make some Kate as mine won't last long
Don't worry Daz, I'll make up a boys bag as well I think if I mad these again I'd have fewer Maltsers in the mix, I think they're a little too Maltesery. Although everyone else seems to like them so maybe I'm being too critical :/

The combination of a day off and the bitter outdoors put me in a situation where cookies could not be resisted!!
Is it a meatball? Is it a plop? My sceptical side began questioning whether my culinary skills could indeed be transferred to the sweet side of cooking... http://img159.imageshack.us/my.php?image=01on2.jpg That said, the babies quickly caught onto the benefits of both the oven warmth and smell of nomable cookie dough baking away! ... http://img160.imageshack.us/my.php?image=02tw6.jpg Oula!! The little chocotastic beasts emerge from their fiery dwelling for their judgement!... http://img261.imageshack.us/my.php?image=03mi8.jpg 1 huge plate of cookies, 1 jumbo mug of tea, 1 easy boy recliner and two days off... DONE! http://img505.imageshack.us/my.php?image=04bf6.jpg Lovely recipe thanks! Deliciously crispy outside, beautifully chewy inside and the flavour is gorgeous! Home made cookies 1, sainsbury bought bag 0.

Nice one James
I'm so glad everyone's making these, loving them and even experimenting with them. Really glad I posted the recipe up.

Looking at James' first pic, mine look nothing like that when my mix is ready :/
Mine are still quite squidgy and wet. Is it because I do it all by hand and not using a food processor?

If you wet your hands the mixture won't stick to your digits!
That's why mine appear so smooth and round because the outside is 'moist'....great word. Let's all be honest though, as Lozza admits, everyone loves to lick their cookie dough covered fingers!

I can also confirm that Malteser cookies are fabarooni! I'm also going to try a batch with smashed up Crunchie and possibly a batch with broken up fudgey bits. Oooooooo the possibilities are endless
