Re-playing Half Life 1
Fantastic game and running through Steam it has proper widescreen support and the music kicks in automatically too (previously played with a no-cd crack )

Yeah, RVP seems to be sold loads (or attempted to), but no one seems to buy dutch as they have too many CAM/CDM/W positions to fill rather than standard 4-4-2.
If you land Torres you're laughing, you get ridiculous money. |

If I got Torres I would probably keep him and either have him as my main or reserve striker. I've got 2 completely Spanish midfields (bar a backup LM) and 3 Spanish full backs to I'll probably just have 2 Spanish teams so I can get the benefit of having Aragones as my manager.

Stuck on Fear 2 on a quicktime event. Killing vanec. Mash the right mouse button. Straight from the xbox, except i'm mashing the thing when told so fast I got cramps. I then used both index fingers to rapidly tap as you can do it quicker. Still not fast enough. Absolute rubbish, I'll have another go in the morning
edit:- Had an idea which was to rebind a keyboard key. Still not fast enough The solution is at hand though, I have a gamepad that I can map the keys to. It has a turbo button that you can set the timings to, 0.09sec quick enough? Last edited by Zirax; 17-04-2009 at 23:41. |

I've spent quite a bit of this weekend playing Monopoly. Got Lovefilm back for a month as my Mum wanted to try out Lego Batman so I've bunged a few scorewhore games on
Quite enjoying Monopoly although one of the achievements is a bit of a grind. Haven't really scorewhored in a while so makes a change.

Battlefield 2142. Not sure about it yet, it was a right pain to get going. Incremental patching, Punkbuster problems, blank error messages, EA Downloader refusing to download my game again. Yep, that's right, purchase a game through EA Online and download it and all's fine until 6 months later. They wipe it off your download permissions, it's in your purchase history but you have to pay again if you want it. You can't even save a local copy of the installation file, EA Downloader won't let you access its cache as its downloading, and once it's downloaded and installed, it automatically deletes! What a crock of ****!
Anyway, despite all of that I'm playing it at the moment and it seems quite OTT compared to Battlefield 2. Going to see if I can get into it more and get some unlocks (I'm sure it's better once I've gotten the proper weapons) If anybody else fancies trying this game, get a hard copy for christ sake.

I never really got into BF2142, although I didn't really give it much of a chance. It kind of seemed pointless really - didn't offer anything over BF2 which was still very popular at the time. I guess if I'd given it more of a go I might have started to enjoy it, but I generally prefer my war games to be in modern times.

Used to love BF2. I was no good at it, but it was a great game. I remember upgrading to 4Gb of RAM so I'd be first to load into the level.
I finished Tomb Raider Underworld on the 360. I have mixed feelings about it. The plot was completely forgetful and after all these years the control scheme and camera are still completely insane. Still, some of the level design was inspired. I got the full 1000 points in one playthrough, but I'm not going to spend any money to pick up the addons. Anyone considering it, pick up Legend and Anniversary on the cheap for a better experience, the former for the fun value and the later for a challenge. |
